Starting a blog!

What better time to start a blog then just after Brady's second birthday? Since we have so many friends and family members that either a) live out of town, or b) we hardly see, I thought this would be a great way to keep in touch! I follow several blogs and I have thought about starting one for a long time - and I finally have a free weekend so here I go. This is our family, Kyle, me (Tara) and our two year old son, Brady! Kyle and I have been together since 2001, married since 2003. We live in Mesa, AZ in the home we bought five years ago and planned to move out of w/in two years! Things don't always happen as planned, but we are thankful that we didn't go buy a new home when the market was at the peak!! Anyway, Kyle works as an inspector for Southwest Airlines, he has been with the company for seven years. I am currently working for Maricopa County as a Management & Budget Analyst and I've been there for four years. Brady attends day care at Bridges preschool, he started about a month and a half ago and he has learned so much in that short time! Two year olds learn so much every day!

We've had some back-to-back busy weekends! We had Brady's birthday party June 27th at Shepherd pool and it was so much fun! We had the party in the evening to avoid the "extreme heat" and it was perfect.

The party was Brady's favorite character, Sponge Bob Square Pants themed and I made a cake for the occasion. Thank you to everyone who came, we had a blast!

The following weekend we attended a Stewart family reunion in Tucson (my Dad's Mom's side of the family). We had a great time with our immediate family and got to see a lot of family we hadn't seen in a long time - Kyle of course got to meet a lot of my family members he had not previously met. I would love to post a group picture here and I will as soon as Karen sends me one! :0)

Last weekend Brady had his first camping trip (and we had our first experience camping with a toddler)! We went to the white mountains with friends and stayed three nights. Though the drive was long (and bumpy at times) we enjoyed every minute of the cool mountain air and we saw lots of animals including elk, deer, antelope, and crawdads! Brady loved fishing, riding the quads and the Rhino and riding around looking for wild life. He is such an active and physical little guy, sure to be some sort of sporting star!
